Application procedure

When / how can I apply?

We only accept online applications submitted via our website. You can send your online application during the whole year but applications after 11 June will be considered only for next years's intake. Please note that there is a different deadline for applicants who need a visa for Austria which is the end of March.


Do I need a visa? How can I apply for it?

Applicants have to find out themselves in their home country whether they need a visa for Austria or not and about the visa application procedure. Our university does not provide visa assistance other than issuing acceptance letters.


Do I have to pay an application fee?

No.


What are the application deadlines?

Applicants who need a visa for Austria have to submit their applications by the end of March. Otherwise application deadline is 11 June.


When are the entrance examinations scheduled?

From February to July. 


What parts do the entrance examinations consist of? 

- Personal assessment (short presentation)

- Computer-based standardized aptitude test / Intelligence test

- Computer-based English language assessment


Do I have to come to an entrance examination in person?

Applicants who are resident more than 1000 km from Wiener Neustadt may have their admission interviews conducted via video-Skype.


Can I apply when I do not have my secondary school leaving certificate/Bachelor’s diploma yet?

Yes you can. Latest submission of the secondary school leaving certificate/Bachelor’s diploma is usually the end of July.


What documents do I need to submit with online application?

Bachelors:

    These documents should be scanned and submitted with the online application

  •  A curriculum vitae (CV), including photograph
  • Letter of motivation (max. one A4 page) explaining why you wish to study in BCi
  • Secondary school leaving certificate1), if available (please see above) 
  • School annual report (Jahreszeugnis) for the most recently completed year. If it is not issued in English or German, an official translation is required (no legalization necessary)
  • Birth certificate1)
  • Proof of citizenship (for non-Austrian citizens: copy of passport)

1) These documents might have to be officially translated into English, and legalized, depending on the country in which they were issued. Please check whether legalization requirements apply to you. Originals must be shown when requested.


Masters:

    These documents should be scanned and submitted with the online application

  • A curriculum vitae (CV), including photograph
  • Letter of motivation (max. one A4 page) explaining why you wish to study in BCi
  • Secondary school leaving certificate1)
  • Undergraduate degree certificate (bachelor or equivalent) including a transcript of records and grade point average(GPA)1),  if available (please see above)
  • Birth certificate1)
  • Proof of citizenship (for non-Austrian citizens: copy of passport )

1) These documents might have to be officially translated into English, and legalized, depending on the country in which they were issued. Please check whether legalization requirements apply to you. Originals must be shown when requested.
