Boost Your Finance Career - Master Treasury and Investment
At the heart of every well-functioning organisation is a team responsible for keeping track of its funds and managing investments. This role requires an in-depth understanding of various aspects of financial markets and instruments, corporate finance, risk management, cash management and general business strategy. Treasury and Investment combines these fields of finance to manage the overall wellbeing of an organisation.
Since the global financial crisis, an increasingly volatile economic environment combined with large overhauls of regulations and procedures has led to the rise of importance of the treasury function. These rapid changes require a greater focus on cash and working capital management, identification and management of risks, financing and identifying strategies to create value from the surplus cash and to enable future growth. The Treasury and Investment specialisation addresses the need for highly skilled professionals in these fields by delivering a comprehensive set of skills and applied knowledge required for a successful career in international treasury management, investment analysis and financial consultancy.
Treasury and Investment specialisation is offered within the Business Consultancy International (BCi) programme, which is taught exclusively in English.

CFA Institute recognition confirms that the Treasury and Investment masters programme is closely linked to professional practice and is well-suited for preparing students to take the CFA examinations. Accredited by the Association of Corporate Treasurers
The BCi Master specialisation in Treasury and Investment is accredited by the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT), the world’s leading chartered professional body for treasurers. The accreditation confirms the quality of our programme, its high practical relevance and alignment with global industry standards. It also enables our students to more easily attain a professional certificate after their master’s degree.
All students graduating from the specialisation can gain exemptions from some of the modules for the ACT’s professional qualifications - Certificate in Treasury Fundamentals and Certificate in Treasury (upon the payment of an exemption fee). They will also be exempt from one of four units for the Diploma in Treasury Management certificate. ACT certificates in treasury are recognised internationally, highly valued by potential employers and often required for treasury roles. The qualifications can improve your career prospects and increase your earning potential.
We are the first and at the moment the only university in continental Europe with such an accreditation.
