“Cheers for Charity,“ the first ever charity event at FHWN, will take place in Wiener Neustadt, on December 15th. The event has been initiated by students, for students, and all other people that would like to support a good cause and celebrate with us. Therefore, the MBCI 2017 program invites all students, as well as other interested parties, to this very special celebration. We not only want to toast to the semester closing, but to do something for a good cause at the same time. All earnings will benefit the following charitable organizations: Light for the World, Kindernothilfe, and Social Friends. More information about these organizations can be found below.

Light For The World is an international disability and development organisation whose vision is an inclusive society where no one is left behind. They strive for accessible eye care services and support inclusive education, empowering persons with disabilities to participate equally in society. Light for the world operates on an international level with its core members in Europe. Their programs in 15 countries strengthen the rights of persons with disabilities, enabling them to lead a self-sustaining life and reducing systemic poverty by including persons with disabilities.
Kindernothilfe is a German based NGO reaching over 2 million children in 31 countries with the idea that all children have the right to food, medical care, education, and to have their voices and concerns heard. Their goal is to deliver sustainable, long-term improvements to these children’s living conditions in order to help the community to help itself overcome dependence and strengthen self-reliance, empowering them to lead independent, self-fulfilled lives.Social Friends
is a community which has the main goal of enabling and facilitating young disabled people in Austria to perform sports activities. By doing so, Social Friends offers passionate athletes that are physically restricted due to health issues, a platform to raise awareness and share stories of young disabled people, that are aiming to do sports. In order to financially support the disabled people, Social Friends hosts and participates various events, where donations for the disabled can be collected.
