Personality Development - Soft Skills for Engineering
Qualities that cannot be written!
The essential qualities demanded by both markets and employers have changed drastically over the course of the last few years. Previously it was often the case that some form of technical qualification was enough to satisify expectations. Today, however, applicant's personal qualities are scrutinized like never before, bringing them into the forefront and forming an essential part of any graduate.
What's hidden behind the term "personal qualities" ?
This term refers to the often pre-supposed skills and characteristics that individuals posess, outside that of their technical expertise. The definition of such "soft skills" includes all aspects of human nature from the ability to compliment and criticize effectively, commuincation skills and conveying messages through to methods of inspiring other to work together towards a common goal.
To many entering the job market, what often sounds the easiest thing to do can often be the most difficult thing to achieve. This in itself justifies the reason why soft skills are so important.
