Quality Management & Quality Assurance in Health Professions

The increasingly complex health care system and the increase in special treatment and therapy procedures place high demands on the areas of health care, nursing and medical-technical services (at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt: Biomedical Science, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy and Radiological Technology). Coupled with this, this research area deals with questions in different areas and levels on the subject of quality in health care professions. These include the handling of patient data, the structural area, organisational and communication processes, the development or further development of assessment instruments up to projects in the area of possible applications of the different occupational groups of health care and nursing.

Cooperation projects exist with clinics and rehabilitation facilities as well as with leading experts from the health sector.
