    All about Internships

    The main activity in the sixth and final semester of the degree programme is an internship in a company approved by the university, either in Austria or abroad. The duration of the internship is at least 15 weeks and provides a great opportunity for work experience, networking, and even permanent employment. Both the company and the students are supported by the BCi team to ensure that everyone involved gets most out of the internship experience.

    Areas of Specialisation

    You have to choose one out of three Specialisations.

    International Management and Leadership (IML)

    The IML specialisation focuses on developing strategic skills related to all global HR challenges and the ability to manage and lead by understanding human, social and organizational processes in the international business arena.

    International Accounting and Finance (IAF)

    The IAF specialisation focuses on finance and accounting in an international context addressing current challenges and issues facing the world’s international companies, financial institutions and markets.

    International Marketing and Sales (IMS)

    The IMS specialisation focuses on improving analytical and creative skills in order to solve global business challenges. Students are trained to identify consumer trends and based on these tendencies to create strategic marketing activities.

    Application deadline is 15 June 2024 for EU citizens and nationals from the countries listed here. These candidates do not need a visa to enter and reside in Austria up to a given period (in most cases 3 months). Due to the necessary visa procedures, the application deadline for all other nationalities is 31 March 2024. Applications after these deadlines will be considered only for next year’s intake.

    Yes, unless the certificate is in English or German, an official translation is required. Only certified translators can provide these.

    That depends on the issuing country. Please check with the respective authority or send an email to BCi Admissions Officer, Ms. Martina Warnung (ms.martina.warnung@fhwn.ac.at).

    Each country has its own procedure for the legalisation of documents, and hence different authorities taking care of it. The place to start is usually the ministry of education in the diploma-issuing country.

    There is only one intake per year, in the last week of August.

    Applicants who are resident more than 1000 km from Wiener Neustadt may take their admission interviews via Video-Skype. In this case, prior to your Skype interview you must additionally provide us with the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), with a minimum score of 870 points.

    All courses in BCi are held and assessed in English.

    No language certificate is required, but the candidate needs to prove his or her language proficiency (English C1 level) at the entrance examination.
