TALKING DIGITAL Webinar
Social Media and #covid-19 - Spreading the news?! An interesting virtual discussion about how COVID-19 has changed the media landscape!
Over the course of several days, the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted life as we knew it. Specifically media and social media have played a significant role in shaping both the national and global response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the same time, several unanticipated trends and behaviors have developed, which have already been felt across the media landscape, and especially in social media. Some have intensified, like the “Fake News” phenomenon or filter bubbles. COVID-19 has as well accelerated the adoption of new media consumption habits, apps and technology that will become more common — such as video conferencing, online delivery services, new social media platforms and streaming services.
Now the question is: which habits are temporary adjustments and which ones could last well into the pandemic’s aftermath?
