As of autumn 2019, Wiener Neustadt’s public library will be part of the new City Campus of the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt and will be located in a former Carmelite monastery.
The merger of Wiener Neustadt’s public library with the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt Library is the first merger of a scientific and a public library in Austria, and therefore represents a pilot project that is shaping the future.
