The development of a person-centered practice requires specific competencies from healthcare professionals as a prerequisite, according to the framework for person-centered practice. To ensure that healthcare professionals possess these competencies, it is necessary to convey them during their basic education. However, from an educational perspective, it is unclear which specific competencies are required to meet these characteristics, how they can be developed within the framework of basic nursing education, how instructors can promote them, and how a person-centered teaching and learning culture can be created.
TCI
The Take Care International (TCI) project is focusing internationally on the further development of the serious game app "Take Care", which was developed for training in health care and nursing. The app enables users of the app to virtually complete night and day shifts in a long-term care facility as part of the theoretical training in nursing. The focus is on communication with residents, suffering from dementia and the resulting "challenging" behaviors. Find more Information: https://tci.eduproject.eu/
