Head of Programme – Master’s Programme in Aerospace Engineering
Your Tasks
You will be responsible for the operational and strategic management of the English-taught Master’s programme Aerospace Engineering, including in particular:
- Organisation of teaching, examinations, and quality assurance
- Building and maintaining networks within the programme and the associated higher education sector, both nationally and internationally
- Curricular development of the programme in collaboration with the institute, department, and faculty management
- Own teaching activities and supervision of academic theses within your field of expertise
- Independent representation of the study programme and responsibility for ensuring student intake
- Coordination of the programme in close cooperation with central service and support units (Study Services, Marketing, International Office, etc.)
- Advising students and lecturers
Your Requirements
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field
- Solid expertise in aerospace engineering
- Professional experience and a proven, relevant network
- Knowledge of the Austrian higher education sector through professional practice
- Network and experience in defence technologies (security and defence systems, unmanned systems, sensor technology) are an asset
- Experience in higher education teaching and supervision of academic theses
- Excellent command of English and good knowledge of German in order to fulfil the legally defined role of Head of programme
- Strong didactic and pedagogical skills, with high affinity for innovative teaching methods and techniques
- Reliability, flexibility, sense of responsibility, and strong team spirit with readiness for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Confident demeanour with excellent communication skills
