Modeling Vortex Dynamics

Flow field analysis is very challenging in particular when investigating separated vortical flow in the context of aerodynamic configurations. In this field methods from Dynamical System and Critical Point Theory are often used. In particular the flow field tensor invariant analysis allows to classify flow types and to assign distinct flow regions to vortices.
