Hub for competence, practice & perspectives
This is where it all began in 1994: Campus 1 is the University’s first and largest site and provides an extensive and modern educational choice from the four faculties Engineering, Health, Sport, and Security, full-time or extra-occupational, in German and partly in English.
By focusing on how to deal with the demands of the future, adopting both an active, international outlook and practical relevance, we suitably prepare our students for whatever their future career might demand, shaping them into highly sought-after graduates on the job market.
Campus 1 also boasts a top infrastructure. More than 20 laboratories for engineering, health, and sport as well as our very own Innovation Lab and the TechSpace Area 27 are available to students.
Campus 1 also offers students a wide range of opportunities outside of the curriculum. Students, for example, can improve their foreign language skills with one of the language courses taught on campus. From sports and culture to a wide range of shopping opportunities - the leisure facilities around Campus 1 are impressive!
The Center for Business Expertise
The site of a former Carmelite monastery in the heart of Wiener Neustadt is the Faculty of Business’s academic home. The focus of the education is on innovative teaching concepts, technological processes, and the promotion of entrepreneurs.
The top infrastructure makes this possible: a StartUp Center with co-working spaces is available to students to nurture their innovative business ideas and plans, plus the City Campus also offers (data) science labs, a Multimedia Lab, and a fully-equipped video studio.
The University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt has injected fresh entrepreneurial spirit to the city center, where students are also offered a wide range of leisure activities. Sports, culture, gastronomy, and shopping – everything is here at the students’ fingertips.
The merger of the University of Applied Sciences’ library and the city library has created the first public/academic library in Austria, open to both students and all other interested parties.

Agriculture & technology know-how hotspot
The challenging tasks and professional fields in the agricultural sector are diverse and require increasing amounts of technical know-how.
The bachelor's programme in Agricultural Technology & Digital Farming, which is unique in Austria, is offered in cooperation with the Francisco Josephinum Higher Federal Education and Research Institute in Wieselburg.
The research, know-how and infrastructure necessary for this forward-looking education are made available in conjunction with the Francisco Josephinum and are well established – it is an educational facility that combines innovation, digitisation, and agriculture in the best possible way.
The main areas of study cover smart farming, software development, agriculture, and agricultural engineering.
The ideal fertile ground for academics & research
The Tulln site of the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt is situated in the midst of a globally renowned biotech scene, the Biotech Campus Tulln, one of the most important biotech locations in Austria. Biotechnology is literally brought to life here.
The close integration of teaching, research and business creates valuable synergies for researchers, students of the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt, and our numerous cooperation partners from the business world. More than 1,000 scientists work at the Technopol Tulln, which includes companies and university institutions. The Biotech Campus Tulln is therefore not only one of the most important research locations in Austria, but also the first choice for students in the field of biotechnology. With the House of Digitalisation, which incorporates Biotech Campus seminar rooms and a canteen, the site has established itself as a central contact point for digitisation, research, and innovation.
Innovation with a tradition of nursing
Cooperation between the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt and the Teaching Hospital Rudolfinerhaus Vienna was established in 2010, when the bachelor’s programme in Nursing was first offered. From 2020, our alliance was extended to include the Advanced Nursing Practice master's programme.
Rudolfinerhaus has more than 130 years of experience in teaching, research, and practice in nursing.
Professional health and nursing care fulfils complex tasks in the health care system. The declared goal is therefore: future-oriented training and further education at a high level!
Since the summer semester of 2022, the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt has been offering the bachelor's programme "Police Leadership" at the newest training location on the campus of the SIAK Salzburg training center.
This is where the leaders of tomorrow can study at the highest level, considering and integrating the latest scientific findings, in order that they will be able to best meet future professional challenges in police leadership.
