FHWN Network & Key Facts

Hub for competence, practice & perspectives

This is where it all began in 1994: Campus 1 is the University’s first and largest site and provides an extensive and modern educational choice from the four faculties Engineering, Health, Sport, and Security, full-time or extra-occupational, in German and partly in English.

By focusing on how to deal with the demands of the future, adopting both an active, international outlook and practical relevance, we suitably prepare our students for whatever their future career might demand, shaping them into highly sought-after graduates on the job market.

Campus 1 also boasts a top infrastructure. More than 20 laboratories for engineering, health, and sport as well as our very own Innovation Lab and the TechSpace Area 27 are available to students.

Campus 1 also offers students a wide range of opportunities outside of the curriculum. Students, for example, can improve their foreign language skills with one of the language courses taught on campus. From sports and culture to a wide range of shopping opportunities - the leisure facilities around Campus 1 are impressive!

The Center for Business Expertise

The site of a former Carmelite monastery in the heart of Wiener Neustadt is the Faculty of Business’s academic home. The focus of the education is on innovative teaching concepts, technological processes, and the promotion of entrepreneurs.

The top infrastructure makes this possible: a StartUp Center with co-working spaces is available to students to nurture their innovative business ideas and plans, plus the City Campus also offers (data) science labs, a Multimedia Lab, and a fully-equipped video studio.

The University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt has injected fresh entrepreneurial spirit to the city center, where students are also offered a wide range of leisure activities. Sports, culture, gastronomy, and shopping – everything is here at the students’ fingertips.

The merger of the University of Applied Sciences’ library and the city library has created the first public/academic library in Austria, open to both students and all other interested parties.
